Harriet & Sue
Harriet and Sue, mother and daughter, opened the Tea Room together in 2018. The cakes are all baked here in the kitchen, using recipes sourced from anywhere and everywhere. We’re always open to suggestions!

Harriet’s baking
Harriet learned to bake with her grandma, then trained at Raymond Blanc’s cookery school. When she and Sue found this café, they loved the location and decided to make it their own.
Now it’s home to the cakes on our counter, our courtyard tables and a team of familiar faces. Harriet has shared her recipes in the Knutsford Guardian, and was invited to demonstrate at Tatton Park’s Foodies Festival in 2024 and 2025.

There’s more to this place than the cake counter. From local baking competitions to everyday catch-ups, we welcome families and their dogs into the Tea Room.
Our story has made the local paper a few times. Here are a few chapters.
